Bible Verses

“For to everyone who has, more will be given and he will grow rich; but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.” — Matthew 25:29

Christian Bible Lesson Overview

God gave all of us talent.  Some of us are great with music; others are good speakers; some of us are talented with art, while others of us are good at organizing tasks.  We must use those God-given talents as long as we are living on this earth.

Everyone can contribute to the life we were given.  When we develop talent and continue to use that talent, we are helping everyone live a better life.

Christian Bible Lesson for Today

Jim Brandt

I do not have any talent for music or art.  During Church service, I listen to music and read the lyrics from the hymns, but I do not sing a word.  In my business, I am not able to create any graphics for the business literature, but I am good at defining the message to be delivered and organizing the text.

I am comfortable speaking to groups.  I am good at planning and seeing business opportunities.  I was always able to motivate others.  I was especially good at motivating people when I played sports in high school and college, and when I was in the Marine Corps.

My Talent Served Me Well

During my life, my ability to speak to groups, write, plan, and motivate people has served me well.  During challenging times, I was always able to rely on those talents to support me when my path did not look optimistic.  Prayer helped me find the opportunities that required my talents.

The talents God gave me helped in my family and personal life as well.  The planning skills helped me bond with everyone.  It was very important for me not to allow depression to control my activities.   During depressing times I learned firsthand how important it is to have private time to pray for guidance and to meditate about what I have versus my challenges.  There were four or five times in my life when I was very depressed.  Each time I  time spent time praying and meditating, it helps me work in a direction that leads to a more comfortable situation.  I am so grateful for this Christian Lesson.

Christian Bible Lesson Summary

I reached a time in my life when helping others, and accomplishing goals are more important than earning money or achieving status.  I am using my planning skills to organize an effort to help others learn this lesson much sooner in life than I did.   This website and blog are examples of what I am working to build.  I want to spend the majority of my time communicating with as many people as I can about how Christian Lessons can improve their lives.   Since I understand the Internet and can write, starting the Life Enhancement Group is my way of combining all the talent God gave me to help other people.
